This traditional house offers stunning views of the capital of Madeira, overlooking the bay and harbour of Funchal. It is located in Monte, one of Madeira's most iconic neighbourhoods, renowned for its natural beauty, breathtaking views and the famous Monte Palace Tropical Garden. The house is not far from the town and the world-class hiking trails in the steeper areas and mountains are just a short driving distance away.
Guests like the broad range of amenities, such as ocean view, excellent sun exposure, free Highspeed Wi-Fi, Smart-TV, nearby outdoor activities and attractions, a fully equipped kitchen, private laundry, lots of space and privacy, free parking within walking-distance and a public bus-station around the corner.

The house is ideal for 1 or 2 couples, a group with 3 to 5 people or a family with 2 or 3 kids.

What is the best season to visit Madeira?
The average temperature in Madeira is between 19 and 24 degrees most of the year. This means you can visit Madeira at any time of the year. There is a good chance that the weather will be nice and warm. Just be aware: Madeira has many microclimates: The south with the capital Funchal is usually sunny and warm - the north can be quite humid and rainy. A good reason to stay in Funchal.
Where is the airport and how long does it take from there to the house?
The Airport is in Santa Cruz. With a rental car or a Taxi you need about 20 minutes.
What are the Highlights from Madeira?
​According to Tripadvisor, the top 3 attractions are the Monte Palace Tropical Garden, Pico do Arieiro and Monte Cable Car. All of these attractions are within short driving distances from The Harbour View House. We also recommend a trip to the black sand beach in Seixal, a walk to "Balcoes" or the viewpoint from Guindaste. If you have more time, you can visit Porto Santo - the small island has an excellent beach.
Do I need to rent a car to explore Madeira?
Many of the attractions are a little 'off the beaten track' and a rental car will definitely give you more flexibility to explore the island - especially if you plan to do some hiking trails or if you want to explore the beauty of the island. We therefore strongly recommend that you rent a car.

The house has 2 bedrooms on the first floor, each with a queen size bed. Upstairs there are 2 more beds and 1 sofa bed. There is a living room, a private kitchen and great outdoor space. The house offers a perfect size for 1 or 2 couples, a group of 3 to 5 people or a family with 2 or 3 children.
Do I have to share the house with other guests?
You always rent the entire house and enjoy all the amenities just for yourself. When you book your stay, there are no other guests and the house is all yours.
